Get started

Up and printing in four steps.

MC3DPrint is a standard Forge mod — if you've installed a mod before, this will feel familiar. If you haven't, follow along; it's about five minutes.

  1. 1

    Install Forge 1.20.1

MC3DPrint runs on Minecraft Java 1.20.1 with Minecraft Forge 47.4.10 or newer. Install the Forge profile from files.minecraftforge.net and launch it once to create the profile.

  2. 2

    Drop in the jar

Download the latest mc3dprint-<version>.jar from the Releases page and place it in your instance's mods/ folder. Replace any older copy — never keep two.

  3. 3

    Launch & verify

Start the game. Open the Mods list and confirm MC3DPrint appears. If you have Patchouli installed (optional), you'll also get the in-game guide book.

  4. 4

    Your first build

Craft a Structure Scanner and a Printer. Scan something small, wind some filament, and print it. The Guide walks through each step in detail.
