MC3DPrint
Once a single-block printer stops cutting it, you graduate to Fabricators. These are multiblock machines built from a square base of Printer Casing with a controller block in the center, and they print bigger, faster, and cheaper than any printer in the tier ladder.
Sizes & base blocks
- T5: 3×3 base, 8 casing
- T6: 5×5 base, 24 casing
- T7: 7×7 base, 48 casing
- T8: 9×9 base, 76 casing + 4 Awakened Draconium corners
Print footprints scale with tier: 9×9 (T5), 15×15 (T6), 33×33 (T7), and 51×51 (T8) by default. Each tier has a maxFootprint config entry if you want bigger.
Printer Casing is the building block of every base, and one craft yields four. The T5 Fabricator controller itself is built around a Tier 4 printer and an Extrudium Crystal.
Forming the machine
Lay the base flat, place the controller in the center cell, and Right Click the controller to form it. The casing lights up to confirm. See the build walkthrough for exact per-tier layouts.
Once formed, every casing stands in for the machine: energy pushed into any casing feeds the controller, and sneak-clicking any casing with the Structure Scanner arms the controller’s deconstruct region. Only opening the GUI needs the controller itself.
Break a formed controller and the whole machine collapses back into a single item. Re-place it and it re-forms with its inventory, upgrades and stored RF intact. It always comes back in Print mode with a clean status (any armed deconstruct region is dropped), so break-and-replace doubles as a reset for a machine stuck in the wrong mode. You can relocate a Fabricator without rebuilding it.
The T8 endgame
The Tier 8 Fabricator is the top of the line and requires Draconic Evolution installed. Its four base corners must be Awakened Draconium blocks instead of casing. Without Draconic Evolution, it simply refuses to form.
Draconic Evolution gates both halves of Tier 8, not just the structure. The controller crafts from 4 nether stars and 4 Awakened Draconium ingots around a Tier 7 Fabricator, so you need Fusion Crafting online before you can build one at all.
